Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Hopkinsville, KY is seeking an Operator/Adjuster/Inspector for the Cold Heading/New Process on the 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm. The role includes operating all machines, inspecting parts, and maintaining production quality to meet specifications.

You will diagnose minor machine issues, perform basic preventive maintenance, and ensure a safe, clean workspace while adhering to Lean practices and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical Experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machines and auxiliary equipment within all applicable departments.
• Diagnose and remedy minor machine problems.
• Report any operating difficulties to the Tool setter and assist the Tool setter as required.
• Responsible for quality of production including inspection and separating unacceptable work from acceptable work.
• Visually and dimensionally inspect product and components using micrometers, gauges and inspection equipment.
• Meet/exceed production levels and ensure safe operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Perform minor preventative maintenance such as lubrication of assigned equipment.
• Move product, components and raw material using safe working practices.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.
• Maintain production records and perform other related duties.
• Must be able to work overtime if needed.
