Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is hiring a Toolsetter/Operator for IMEX Extrusion on 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) in Hopkinsville, KY. The role involves setting up, operating and adjusting cold forming and related machinery to produce aluminum and steel parts. You will diagnose tooling issues and ensure quality with precise measurements.

You must have a High School diploma or equivalent and mechanical experience; overtime may be required. Competitive benefits accompany the salary and shift premium.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and adjust cold forming and supplementary machinery to produce aluminum and steel products or those of other materials.
• Diagnose and remedy operating and tooling difficulties and ensure proper machine operation.
• Inspect materials and ensure correct containment and labeling.
• Insert and adjust punches, dies and cutting dies per machine shop instructions.
• May stone and polish carbide and other alloyed punches and dies as needed.
• Some heat treating of tools may be required.
• Maintain quality by inspecting parts with micrometers and gauges; ensure parts meet specs.
