Job summary

Rhoads Industries, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA seeks an Operations Supervisor (2nd Shift) to lead daily manufacturing operations, ensure safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement. You will manage a team, coordinate across departments, and optimize production performance.

This non-union role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and overtime, plus strong leadership, communication, and PC skills. Relevant lean or OSHA certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience in shipyard/industrial setting.
• Experience in ship fitting, welding, or fabrication is highly preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours incl nights/weekends/overtime.
• Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: monitor daily operations for efficiency and compliance.
• Quality Control: ensure products meet standards and resolve defects.
• Staff Management: supervise and develop a team, manage performance.
• Process Improvement: identify improvements and implement SOPs.
• Reporting and Documentation: prepare performance and safety reports.
• Customer Service: address operational concerns and ensure satisfaction.
• Compliance and Safety: ensure adherence to laws and safety protocols.
