Job summary

Rhoads Industries, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA seeks an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift who can supervise daily manufacturing operations, lead a diverse team, coordinate across departments, and implement process improvements to boost productivity and safety.

The role requires 1+ years in a leadership role, willingness to work nights and weekends, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and knowledge of quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of proven experience in a group leader, foreman, or similar crew leadership role.
• Supervisory experience in shipyard, construction or fabrication environments preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Pass operations supervisor training courses within 90 days.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, OSHA 10/30 certifications are a plus.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Oversee parts and component management to support operations.
• Supervise and train staff, manage scheduling and performance reviews.
• Identify improvement opportunities and implement SOPs.
• Prepare reports on performance, safety incidents, and staffing.
