Job summary

Farmer Focus seeks an Operations Lead for the Acorn facility to support daily production, ensure procedures are followed, and keep lines starting on time. You will guide team members, fill in as needed, assist with paperwork, and train new staff while upholding safety and quality standards.

In this 2nd shift, you will coordinate with the Roll Stock Supervisor to maintain consistent product flow and meet customer specs, contributing to overall efficiency and safety across the plant.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance required.
• Must know or be willing to learn all jobs in the Operations department.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to complete paperwork as needed.
• Proven performance and positive attitude.
• Ability to help train new team members and monitor performance.
• Ability to assist with leading hourly team members in a production environment.
• Ability to promote safety, food safety, animal welfare, and operational standards.
• Ability to respond to team member concerns and support team member engagement.
• Ability to follow and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor with starting the Hand/Leg Debone line on time each day.
• Help ensure procedures support productivity, cost efficiency, customer specs, and consistent product flow.
• Direct and lead team members during daily production operations as assigned.
• Fill in at any position as needed to ensure consistent product flow.
• Assist the Supervisor with production paperwork as needed.
• Respond to USDA inspectors and concerns promptly.
• Help train new team members and monitor performance.
• Perform production checks to ensure standards are met.
• Assist supervisors and managers with issues in other departments as needed.
• Support compliance with food safety programs, quality standards, safety requirements, and company procedures.
