Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead a maintenance team on-site at Acorn. The role ensures production machinery operates at peak efficiency and facilities are well maintained, while driving safe, reliable plant operations and budget management.

You will mentor staff, enforce SOPs, and collaborate with operating teams to reduce downtime and uphold a zero-accident culture, aligning with CARES values and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of progressive maintenance supervision in manufacturing; five+ years in food/protein industry preferred.
• Experience managing a large team across multiple shifts.
• Knowledge of food processing systems and GMP standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain preventive maintenance program to keep machinery in optimal condition.
• Prioritize work orders and schedule repairs to minimize downtime.
• Supervise maintenance staff to ensure productivity and cost control.
• Manage department budget and identify cost-saving methods.
• Enforce SOPs for maintenance in the processing plant.
• Mentor and train employees and administer performance actions.
• Support safety initiatives and zero-accident culture.
