Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking an Operations Lead to supervise the OSSID department at the Acorn facility. This on-site, full-time role directs a team to meet production standards while upholding USDA and food-safety requirements. The position supports scheduling, training, and safe operations in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent attendance is required.
• Must know, or be willing to learn, all jobs in the department.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Ability to complete production paperwork accurately as needed.
• Proven performance and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively with team members, supervisors, managers, and USDA inspectors.
• The selected candidate must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Supervisor in starting the Ossid Department on time each day.
• Fill in at any position as needed to maintain consistent product flow.
• Assist the Supervisor with production paperwork as needed.
• Respond to USDA inspectors and address their concerns promptly and correctly.
• Help train new team members and monitor their performance.
• Perform production checks to ensure the department meets established standards.
• Support compliance with food safety programs, company policies, customer specifications, and workplace safety requirements.
• Assist supervisors and managers in resolving issues in other plant departments.
• Perform other duties as needed.
