Job summary

RRD is seeking a 2nd shift Printing and Bindery Specialist to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain multiple press units in our production facility in Kentucky. The role involves color corrections, plates and cylinders preparation, and ensuring print quality to spec.

You will perform routine maintenance, keep presses running smoothly, and adhere to safety standards while contributing to efficient, high-quality output. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and specifications.
• Ability to read and understand job specifications and determine press usage.
• Skill in precise adjustments and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Knowledge of packing pressure for printing and micrometer mounting of plates.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain the press equipment.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders and checking alignment.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specs.
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press and replace worn parts as needed.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
