Job summary

RRD, a global marketing, packaging and print solutions leader, is seeking a press operator to set up, adjust, operate and maintain single or multi‑color offset presses to meet production standards. You will perform make‑ready tasks, inspect plates and cylinders, apply color corrections, and keep the press clean, lubricated, and in good repair while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of offset printing procedures and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications to determine setup materials.
• Ability to determine the best press usage and necessary adjustments for efficient operation.
• Familiarity with the proper packing pressure for different jobs.
• Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Ability to adjust feeder and feed board components (suction, guides, timing).

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate and maintain single or multi-color offset presses.
• Perform make-ready tasks such as hanging plates and installing cylinders.
• Make color corrections and ensure production meets quality specifications.
• Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
