Job summary

RRD is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist for 1st shift in the Production & Manufacturing department. You will prepare presses, verify job specs, and manage paper inventory while coordinating with press operators and maintenance staff.

You will monitor paper and ink systems, assist with make-readies, and help ensure color accuracy and quality. Safety policies and ISO processes are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a printing environment preferred.
• Some experience in the operation of various hand tools preferred.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the press for a run by verifying job specs and setting up the press accordingly.
• Inspects fountain solution, inking systems, rolls of paper and related mechanisms.
• Maintains proper inventory of paper and records usage/spoilage on SPC report.
• Ensures rolls are unwrapped, mounted and ready to be spliced.
• Monitors paper flow during the run and installs new rolls as needed.
• Assists with preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of presses.
• May assist with make-readies and color adjustments as required.
• Adheres to safety policies including hazardous waste handling and PPE.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
