Job summary

RRD in Missouri is seeking a Print/Press Operator on the 2nd shift to set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a range of press equipment used for Army MOS 83F printing and bindery tasks. You will handle make-ready tasks, inspect plates and cylinders, and ensure correct image positioning and color readiness for production runs.

Responsibilities include color corrections, press adjustments, routine maintenance, and keeping the press clean and running.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials and safety requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications to determine press usage and materials needed.
• Skill in making precise press settings and performing routine maintenance.
• Knowledge of packing pressure for printing and minor repairs as required.
• Skill in mounting and aligning printing plates with a micrometer.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain a number of press equipment
• Perform all make-ready tasks such as hanging plates or installing cylinders, examine plates/cylinders for imperfections and checks for image positioning
• Make necessary color corrections and press adjustments prior to production to meet quality specs
• Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, performing minor repairs as needed
• Perform periodic maintenance recommended by the manufacturer
