Charles River is seeking an Technician I – Necropsy on the 2nd Shift in Mattawan, MI. The role involves euthanasia and post-mortem examinations, animal handling, sample collection, and data recording under supervision.

Training will develop onboarding skills and basic lab procedures in a collaborative team. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (BA/BS preferred), excellent communication, and the ability to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform euthanasia and post-mortem examinations under supervision.
• Collect, document and verify data in forms or electronic systems.
• Prepare samples and maintain equipment and laboratory areas.
• Work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
