Charles River is seeking a Technician I for the Clinical Pathology Team in Mattawan, MI. The technician will perform sample handling tasks under close supervision to develop proficiency.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (BA/BS preferred in biological sciences) and strong communication. Schedule is regular with overtime and weekend rotation as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; BA/BS preferred in a biological science.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Familiarity with reading and following safety documents and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Learn onboarding skills and procedures in a team environment.
• Perform basic study tasks under close supervision.
• Handle sample labeling, delivery, aliquoting, processing and verification.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Work extended hours beyond normal schedule as needed.
