Job summary

Atkore in Cartersville, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Metals Fabrication and Welding. You will oversee hourly shop floor teams, schedule tasks, develop standardized work, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining ERP master data.

You’ll drive Lean initiatives, track KPI delivery, partner with Planning, Scheduling, and Operations, and mentor staff to align with Atkore values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years' relevant work experience, manufacturing experience preferred.
• Six Sigma/Lean Principles knowledge preferred.
• AS400 and/or JD Edwards ERP experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in powered-press, plating, and/or manual packing and picking operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise hourly manufacturing team members.
• Schedule and assign work tasks to meet production goals and objectives.
• Create and modify standardized work and ensure consistent application by all team members.
• Provide technical expertise in all responsible areas.
• Ensure products are prepared according to requirements and ready for on-time delivery.
• Maintain ERP system, develop and maintain master data.
• Coordinate between Planning, Scheduling, and Operations to achieve KPI goals.
• Maintain KPI reporting and participate in Lean Daily Management activities.
• Track delivery metrics to ensure strong customer service.
• Identify and implement Kaizen opportunities with the team.
• Collaborate with EHS/HR to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Uphold company policies and housekeeping.
