Advocate Health's Wisconsin ACL Laboratories - AMC Kenosha facility is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform and monitor tests per protocols, ensuring timely and accurate results for patient care.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in Clinical Lab Technician and a certification within 1 year, with strong communication skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Clinical Lab Technician or related field.
• ASCP BOC or AMT MLT certification within 1 year.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Monitors workflow and adjusts to complete work in a timely manner.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and validity.
• Follows policy for reporting and notification of results.
• Calibrates and maintains instruments and equipment.
• Performs quality control and corrective actions as needed.
• Collects specimens from patients and ensures proper labeling.
• Provides technical assistance to Phlebotomists and staff.
• Supports quality and efficiency improvements in procedures and processes.
• Performs specialty testing across transfusion, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, histology, coagulation, and flow cytometry.
