Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Material Handler I for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm) in Romeoville, IL. The role involves loading/unloading materials, moving items between cells, and performing inventory transactions in our manufacturing system.

Responsibilities include bin maintenance, order fulfillment, Kanban management, and safety-conscious operation of pallets jacks. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 0–1 years in manufacturing. teamwork is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or combination of work experience and skill development.
• 0-1 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must safely use pallet jacks and other manual moving equipment.
• Must read and interpret Bills of Material.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively to support manufacturing processes.
• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move and store a variety of materials, parts or products according to routing.
• Conduct bin maintenance and verify quantities and part numbers.
• Move materials between cells following delivery tickets or orders.
• Fill orders and deliver to designated cells from storage areas.
• Operate hand trucks, pallets jacks, and load outgoing trucks.
• Maintain Kanban status and report late orders.
• Perform inventory transactions in the G&W business system.
• Complete cycle counts as requested.
• Document actions using production and quality forms.
