Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Material Handler I for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm) to support efficient production by moving materials, verifying part numbers, and performing inventory transactions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include unloading, storing, and routing materials, maintaining Kanban status, and assisting with cycle counts while adhering to our quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• 0–1 year work experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Able to safely operate pallet jacks and manual moving equipment.
• Able to read and interpret Bills of Material.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills required.
• Able to work collaboratively to support manufacturing processes.
• Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Unload, move, and store materials; assist with bin maintenance as needed.
• Check IDs and part numbers; report shortages or damaged material.
• Move materials between cells following routing and orders.
• Fill and deliver orders from stock to designated cells.
• Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks to move loads.
• Load outgoing trucks; release and track Kanbans and shipments.
• Maintain accurate inventory in the G&W system and perform cycle counts.
