Job summary

organicgirl is seeking a Manufacturing Lead (Crew Lead) for the 2nd shift in Salinas, CA. You will lead process and equipment setup, ensure safety, quality, and production goals, and coordinate the line/crewing to meet daily production requirements from processing to packaging.

This role reports to the Production Supervisor, works Monday-Saturday on B shift, and pays $27.00 per hour. You will supervise hourly employees, enforce GMPs, manage changeovers, and maintain accurate production records.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent from an accredited institution preferred.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant preferred but not required.
• Must possess good record keeping skills, accuracy and very highly detailed oriented.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process and equipment setup for production in a safe environment for hourly employees.
• Direct production workforce and assign employees to different work areas based on daily production requirements.
• Ensure adherence to safety, GMPs, quality, and production policies; coordinate changeovers and splitting orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas and ensure traceability of raw materials and finished products.
• Complete routine reports, logs, and forms; interface with QA and maintenance on assigned lines.
• Report safety/quality issues to supervisor and coordinate with team to meet production goals.
