Job summary

ASML US, LLC in San Diego, CA seeks a hands-on 2nd Shift Manufacturing Team Lead to supervise a small team of assemblers and test technicians. This is a working leadership role, actively participating in assembly, test, troubleshooting, and production support while guiding daily operations.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives, with Lean initiatives and continuous improvement driving efficiencies in a fast-paced, ESd-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4+ years of relevant manufacturing, production, or operations experience.
• Prior experience leading teams, projects, or manufacturing work centers.
• Experience in a hands-on manufacturing, assembly, or test environment.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Independently supervise the work of approximately 5-9 direct reports, providing day-to-day direction, coaching, and development.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of assemblers and test technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Drive employee engagement and promote a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient and effective operation of the work center.
• Ensure personnel are appropriately trained and certified on required processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide daily direction and prioritize team resources to meet changing production demands.
• Lead day-to-day production activities to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Maintain and coordinate daily build and test assignments to ensure production schedules and delivery commitments are achieved.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production leadership to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Ensure compliance with documented manufacturing processes and quality standards through regular audits and observation.
• Support engineering change order implementation and process improvements.
• Monitor material availability, maintain positive material flow, and elevate shortages or supply constraints as required.
• May assist the Production Manager in analyzing MRP data and identifying capacity constraints related to forecasted demand.
