Job summary
Dover Precision Components, located at our South Houston/Pearland facility, is seeking a 2nd shift Manufacturing Supervisor to lead a ~26-person team across CNC and manual machining operations. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of supervisory production experience, Lean knowledge, and strong leadership with ERP/MS Office proficiency.
Qualifications
- 5+ years' supervisory production experience in a high mix manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts.
- Demonstrated experience in motivating a team to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and issue resolution.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex problems.
- Experience training machinists on technical and lean aspects.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and blueprints.
- Strong leadership and proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a 2nd shift manufacturing team of ~26 people to meet daily plans.
- Plan, schedule and direct hourly workforce to achieve production goals.
- Enforce safety protocols and OSHA/compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with plant leadership to drive production results.
- Lead continuous improvement activities such as 5S and Kaizen events.
- Conduct performance assessments and participate in hiring and onboarding.
