Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor for its Pearland facility to oversee CNC and manual machining operations on a 3:00 pm–12:00 am shift. You will supervise ~26 staff, drive safety, quality, and on-time production while supporting ISO/QMS procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of supervision in high-mix manufacturing, lean training, and strong leadership with hands-on problem-solving and blueprint reading skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ supervisory production experience in high-mix manufacturing and machining.
• Lean manufacturing principles with continuous improvement experience.
• Motivate a team to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and issue resolution.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to solve complex problems.
• Experience training machinists on technical and lean aspects.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills; effective communication.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel) and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise manufacturing processes safely and efficiently to meet shipping deadlines and profitability.
• Plan, schedule, and direct a team of ~26 including operators, machinists and assemblers.
• Lead safety meetings, enforce protocols, and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Coach, train and mentor employees; participate in hiring and performance reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement on 2nd shift with 5S, Kaizen, and visual boards.
