Job summary

Abbott Laboratories in Portland, OR, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor for 2nd shift (2:30pm-1:00am) to drive production performance through hands-on leadership, coaching, and data-driven problem solving.

You will manage a team of operators and technicians, oversee labor and material flow, ensure quality with standard work, and lead cost-reduction initiatives to improve efficiency and throughput.

Qualifications

• Requires supervisory experience in a multi-product manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrates strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven ability to coach and develop manufacturing staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of manufacturing operators and production technicians (full-time and contingent).
• Oversee day-to-day operations for the shift including labor/material flow and production scheduling.
• Ensure product quality using standard work, training, and inspection techniques.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse, skilled workforce with ongoing coaching.
