Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD, seeks a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Operations Manager 2 to lead 2nd‑shift warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, and outbound shipping; you will manage a represented workforce and drive performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with extensive experience or a Master’s with less, willingness to work 2nd shift, and ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with required years; Master’s degree preferred for senior track.
• Experience leading a 2nd shift in warehouse, supply chain, or inventory control.
• Experience with MMAS or similar material control environments.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Costpoint, Oracle) for transactions.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead 2nd-shift warehouse operations across receiving, inventory control and outbound shipping.
• Manage and develop a 2nd-shift team; provide direction and feedback.
• Oversee receiving, put-away, discrepancies, and accurate on-hand balances.
• Own inventory management and material control for 2nd shift.
• Lead outbound operations to meet production schedules and deliveries.
• Develop KPIs for inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and throughput.
• Standardize processes, training, and EHS/5S practices on shift.
• Serve as primary 2nd-shift operations lead; manage handoffs and escalations.
• Coordinate with cross-site functions to resolve material flow issues.
• Support audits and corrective actions for MMAS compliance.
