Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a 3rd Shift General Manufacturing Manager 2 in Linthicum, MD. The role oversees 20-25 unionized employees in a PRFC cell, driving productivity, quality, and schedule adherence while managing budgets and resources.

Responsibilities include directing manufacturing operations, leading teams, and performing SAP/MES transactions to support continuous improvement and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years in Project/Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline; Master’s with 6+ years; 12+ years may substitute for degree
• Experience leading people across large organizations
• Experience with cost, schedule, project leadership, and/or process improvement
• Experience acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines to solve complex problems
• Current, active U.S.Government Secret Clearance with ability to obtain SAP and U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Provide directions to employees using management guidelines and general policies
• Plan, direct, and oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgeted costs
• Manage and provide leadership to manufacturing teams, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
• Drive employee efficiency
• Manage the area to produce quality products
• Engage employees to achieve their highest potential
• Implement process improvements to improve affordability, quality, and schedule
