Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Dayton, Ohio, seeks a Manager of General Manufacturing 1 (B-Shift) to oversee daily production and scheduling while leading a team to meet safety, quality, and cost targets. This on-site role focuses on efficient manufacturing processes and cross-functional collaboration across departments.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience, a solid production background, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of related production experience.
• 1 year of experience leading projects or teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily production and manufacturing operations.
• Coordinate and lead operations start up meeting.
• Daily resource planning to meet customer/schedule demand.
• Collaborate with production scheduling to meet schedule requirements.
• Ensure tools, plans, people and material are available to complete assigned workload.
• Report production KPIs to site leadership.
• Perform root cause analysis for corrective actions on safety & quality incidents.
• Mentor, train, and develop staff including performance management and corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, delivery, quality and cost.
