Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. (JP) is seeking a 2nd Shift Shipping Manager 1 for Troy Hill Operations in Elkridge, MD. You will oversee the second shift shipping operation, coordinating production and repair parts to domestic and international customers.

Lead a diverse team and partner with multiple functions to meet customer needs while prioritizing safety and efficiency. The role requires oversight of budgets, training, and continuous improvement initiatives, with a 3pm–12:30am shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in shipping, logistics, or related fields.
• Master’s degree and 3+ years in shipping or related fields.
• 9 years experience may substitute degree requirement.
• Experience leading people/teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of packers, planners, and logisticians.
• Coordinate interplant movements of material.
• Ensure safety and security policies are followed.
• Lead training and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Plan work with Shipping & Logistics Manager and set priorities.
• Oversee packaging materials storage and inventory.
• Drive continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Program, Contracts, and Mission Assurance teams.
• Monitor budgets, workload, and forecasts.
• Resolve shipping questions and expedite issues.
• Maintain accurate employee timekeeping.
• Ensure teams have tools and materials to ship.
