GE Vernova is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the 2nd shift at our Schenectady, NY factory. You will tackle technical problems, create and update work instructions, and support tooling maintenance while collaborating with the 3 shifts.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, documentation, and process improvement in a manufacturing setting. Experience in mechanical/industrial engineering and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work 2nd Shift (3-11pm).
• BS in Engineering or related field with 2 years manufacturing leadership experience; or a 2-year technical degree with 6 years experience; or a HS diploma with 8 years experience; or 6 years military experience in a technical role.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing engineering tasks, mainly tactical.
• Create and update work instructions.
• Purchase and plan maintenance of shop tooling.
• Analyze part drawings and process specifications.
• Create shop build documentation.
• Communicate technical processes to salary & hourly employees.
• May lead a junior team within defined framework.
