Job summary

GE Vernova in Schenectady, NY seeks a 1st Shift Production Supervisor to oversee front-line manufacturing employees and ensure reliable, high-quality operations. You will resolve issues using established procedures, coordinate with teams, and present metrics and project status to stakeholders.

The role requires a relevant degree or substantial manufacturing experience and supervisory experience, with onsite work in Schenectady. A Lean Six Sigma belt is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 3 years manufacturing experience, or HS diploma with 6+ years manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Ability to work 1st Shift (7am-3pm).

Responsibilities

• Oversight and management of front-line manufacturing employees, typically hourly staff.
• Resolve problems through applied expertise guided by precedent.
• Collaborate with business-unit personnel and provide explanations on technical issues.
• Communicate with direct team and supervisor.
• Present metrics, project status and research to internal teams.
• Provide coverage across other operations as needed.
