Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Chesterfield, MI is seeking a Senior Maintenance professional for a 2nd shift (2pm–10pm). The role involves maintaining and repairing plant machinery, leading maintenance staff, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of metal fabrication equipment at our Chesterfield, Michigan location.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, the ability to read schematics, and experience with lockout/tagout procedures.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
• High school diploma or technical certificate.
• Ability to read and follow maintenance requests and instructions.
• Analytical skills to evaluate machine functions.
• Detail-oriented with good diagnostic abilities.
• Authorized in Lockout/Tagout during probation.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment using manual and power tools, and general tool room equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues by reading electrical and hydraulic schematics and using electrical testing equipment.
• Perform repairs, installations, and modifications requiring hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical skills.
• Maintain departmental files of work orders and maintenance histories.
• Obtain materials from local distributors or warehouses; place orders for parts.
• Lead and direct other maintenance personnel.
