Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Highland Heights, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic on 1st shift (M-F, 7am-3:30pm). The role includes maintaining electrical systems, lighting, plumbing, and coordinating repairs with external contractors.

You will perform routine machine maintenance per manuals and support EH&S initiatives. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred) and experience with electrical/HVAC/plumbing.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree or Higher preferred.
• Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing experience required; certifications preferred.
• Basic reading, math, and computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills appropriate for interaction with management, fellow employees, and vendors.
• Good attendance and punctuality; attention to detail.
• Able to operate Pallet Jack and Tow Motor (training and license available).
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electric, lighting, plumbing
• Coordinate building repairs with outside contractors (roofing, electrical, HVAC)
• Perform machine maintenance per manuals (filters, belts, lubricants, chip tanks, coolant)
• Drive tow motor, scissor lift, pallet jack
• Perform and maintain lockout-tagout procedures
• Assist with EH&S compliance and initiatives
• Drain and change wash tanks
• Instruct personnel in maintenance procedures
• Troubleshooting
• Shovel snow and salt walks when necessary
