Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Montpelier, IN production floor. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot PLC systems, and repair or install equipment to ensure continuous operation.

Training occurs on the first shift, with the role on the 2nd shift from 2pm to 10pm and a 5% shift differential. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing maintenance, strong teamwork, basic computer skills, and the ability to read complex schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Proven ability to work with others to complete tasks.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PM systems and preventive maintenance.
• PLC troubleshooting using Allen Bradley systems.
• Must maintain a personal tool inventory for common maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• Ability to differentiate color when wiring electrical services.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment per schedules.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery per guidelines.
• Repair, install or modify equipment as required.
• Prepare material lists to perform tasks.
• Operate equipment like PIV or aerial lifts as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and 6S on the shop floor.
• Record work performed in the maintenance log.
