Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (2:00 PM - 10:00 PM) in Northlake, TX. The role installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains production and facility equipment in a distribution/warehouse setting.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 2 years in electrical/mechanical fields is a plus, and forklift certification. The position requires safety-conscious, team-oriented individuals willing to work weekends/holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years experience in Electrical/Mechanical field a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical and plumbing.
• General knowledge of Distribution Center layout and equipment.
• Proven ability to work safely with above average accuracy.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to work any shift including weekends and Holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, lift 10–50 lbs regularly; team lift 50–100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment.
• Record productive time versus travel time.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• Maintain all work records and parts used per procedure.
• Keep manuals and details up to date as changes are advised.
• Responsible for facility improvement including safety projects.
• Troubleshoot problems by planning action, estimating labor time and materials.
• Operate walkie rider and forklifts; ensure safe material movement.
• Complete assigned project tasks, maintain staging lane, 5S practices.
