Job summary
Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to ensure production equipment operates reliably. The role involves maintenance, troubleshooting, and routine servicing of production, processing, and packaging systems in a rotating schedule (3:00pm–11:30pm).
A $1,500 sign-on bonus is available for external candidates. Responsibilities include reading schematics, performing preventive maintenance, supporting new equipment installations, and documenting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from trade/technical school preferred in electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, or related areas.
- 2–4 years of maintenance, electrical, HVAC, or related experience in manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned, unplanned, and emergency maintenance on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections to assess reliability and performance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance tasks.
- Assist in installation of new equipment and provide troubleshooting support to minimize downtime.
- Complete work orders promptly with accurate documentation and reporting.
