Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to ensure production and packaging equipment run efficiently at our Franklin, MA facility.

Hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM on a rotating schedule with two days off per week. External candidates receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus and will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while documenting activities per SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from trade/technical school in electrical/mechanical fields preferred.
• 2–4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC/HMI, HVAC or related experience.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and utility systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders to service equipment.
• Support installation of new equipment and assist operators with training or troubleshooting.
• Complete work orders promptly and document all actions per SOPs.
• Utilize various hand and power tools and meters safely on equipment.
