Job summary

Garelick Farms, Dairy Farmers of America is hiring a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician. The role involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and supporting equipment installation.

Eligible for a $1,500 sign-on bonus; hours are 3:00pm–11:30pm with a rotating schedule and competitive pay. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, relevant technical training, and 2–4 years of maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school/technical training in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding or refrigeration.
• 2–4 years maintenance/equipment experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utility systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections for reliability.
• Read electrical schematics and service manuals to perform tasks.
• Assist in installing new equipment and train operators as needed.
• Document all repairs and maintain safety and quality standards.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Trade school/technical school (electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding)

2–4 years maintenance experience

Ammonia refrigeration systems experience
