Job summary

Garelick Farms, a Dairy Farmers of America facility, is seeking a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to keep production and packaging equipment running smoothly. The role includes preventative maintenance, repairs, and collaboration with operators to minimize downtime, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

qualified candidates have 2–4 years in maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and preferably a technical background (electrical/PLC/HMI, welding, refrigeration).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from trade/technical school in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC experience, preferably in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and/or repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related systems following safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Support installation of new equipment and assist operators with troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Complete work orders promptly with high-quality documentation.
