Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include hands-on repair of company equipment, reading precision instruments, and adherence to DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations. A valid CDL may be required, and candidates should be prepared to participate in training and

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Own tools to perform job duties.
• Valid CDL if required.
• Knowledge of reading precision instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, digital multimeters, calibrators).
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Willingness to participate in training and shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures to trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on components and systems.
• Weld as needed to complete repairs.
• Be able to weld on converter dollies and comply with safety regulations.
