Job summary

Red Boot Beverage is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) in Des Moines, IA to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance in a fast-paced beverage facility, with a 3:30 pm–12:00 am schedule and full on-site duties.

Required: 3+ years in maintenance within food & beverage, strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Three (3)+ years of maintenance experience in food & beverage industry or related field.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints; troubleshoot as needed.
• Capable of performing troubleshooting analysis.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team to meet goals.
• Must be available to work daily and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support and perform emergency repairs and breakdown remedies.
• Ensure all food contact surfaces and production areas are safe after maintenance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and daily rounds.
• Complete work orders and projects as assigned.
• Maintain housekeeping in maintenance and work areas.
• Participate in tool and part inventory.
• Complete daily paperwork including rounds, PMs, WOs, breakdown analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Set up, teardown, relocation and changeover of machinery.
• Assist in regular production when maintenance is caught up.
• Meet GMP and SQF requirements; participate in safety meetings.
