Job summary

Home Chef is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm) to keep production equipment running smoothly. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with contractors to minimize downtime while upholding GMP/SQF safety standards.

You will contribute to equipment uptime by maintaining PM schedules, training operators, and documenting work in the CMMS. Experience in food manufacturing and strong electrical knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• General high school degree or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing background preferred.
• At least 2 years of electrical or programming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and precision measuring devices.
• Strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs and installations, AC/DC controls and schematics.
• PIT and scissor lift OSHA certification required.
• Solid computer skills with CMMS data input/export.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on facility and production equipment.
• Coordinate with contractors for scheduled service and ensure production teams have no equipment barriers.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals to troubleshoot and assess functionality.
• Provide guidance and training to machine operators to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Maintain PM records in the CMMS and track equipment history.
• Keep facility in safe, compliant condition and manage facility repairs and improvements.
