Job summary

Home Chef is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on facility and production equipment. The role ensures the production team faces no barriers and coordinates with contractors for scheduled service.

Essential duties include safety/compliance with GMPs, PM planning, and maintaining CMMS records. A strong background in electrical/hydraulic systems and tool proficiency is required, with OSHA certifications preferred. Email [e-mail] for details.

Qualifications

• General high school degree, or equivalent (e.g. GED).
• Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing background preferred.
• At least 2 years of electrical or programming experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems required.
• Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools and precision measuring.
• Must have strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs and installations, AC/DC controls and schematic diagrams.
• PIT and scissor lift OSHA certification required.
• Solid computer skills with ability to input/export information into a CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Employee and Food Safety: follow safety practices, PPE, and GMP compliance.
• Equipment Maintenance: service and maintain production equipment, install new equipment, train operators.
• Executes Preventative Maintenance Plans On All Equipment As Scheduled by the Maintenance Manager.
• Facility Maintenance: keep facility in good working order, coordinate repairs and improvements, oversee contractors.
• Maintenance Shop Organization: keep tools and parts organized, audit readiness, communicate spare parts needs.
• Time Management: work under pressure, minimize downtime, communicate progress.
• General Responsibilities: enforce GMPs and support SQF and quality programs.
