Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift (2:00 pm - 10:30 pm, Mon-Fri, with weekends as needed) to ensure optimal performance of packaging and processing equipment. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in a high-speed facility.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing equipment, supporting PLC-controlled systems, and collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to maintain smooth operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of mechanical maintenance in a high-speed setting.
• Experience with PLC-controlled systems; troubleshoot, not program.
• Hazardous chemical environments experience preferred (chlorine handling).

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and basic automation.
• Repair, install, maintain and improve processing and packaging machinery.
• Perform electrical repairs and read schematics; work 120V–480V.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment; interpret alarms in HMIs/SCADA.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Safety teams.
