Job summary

KIK Consumer Products is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Mars, PA facility on the 2nd shift. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and respond to equipment issues to minimize downtime.

The role requires 2+ years of mechanical experience in high-speed packaging/manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work safely in a GMP environment. Training on 1st shift is required for 30–60 days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ mechanical experience in a high-speed packaging/manufacturing environment preferred (food industry preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a manufacturing setting
• Commitment to safety and GMP regulations

Responsibilities

• Independently identify and repair equipment issues within assigned area with minimal supervision
• Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Troubleshoot bottling, filling equipment and gantry palletizers
• Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick solutions using mechanics, fitting, plumbing, welding, fabrication and machining skills
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Modify, repair and install conveyor systems and packaging equipment
• Setup, takedown and relocation of Process and Packaging equipment
