Job summary

ID Logistics US is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic for our Scranton facility. The role requires inspecting and repairing material handling equipment and performing minor building repairs while following GMPs and OSHA rules.

The successful candidate will maintain service records, order parts, and ensure safety compliance, with duties rotating on 2nd shift. Key responsibilities include electrical system inspections, fault diagnosis, and tool handling.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
• Sound understanding of electrical testing and repair of Material Handling equipment.
• Ability to use power and hand tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Must follow oral or written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
• High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Regular inspection of all electrical and power units of a facility.
• Detecting malfunctions and defects in electrical systems and vehicle engines and repairing the same.
• Ensuring the compliance of all corporate policies and OSHA rules while conducting work.
• Maintaining a record of service cycles and other maintenance activities conducted.
• Efficiently managing time and completing all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority.
• Reporting damages, defects and other issues pertaining to electrical units to the supervising manager.
• Placing orders for spare and replacement parts and completing all necessary documentation.
• Appropriately using and handling all electrical repair and testing tools and equipment.
• Light building maintenance repairs such as changing bulbs, painting, caulking, etc.
• Daily inventory counts.
• Moving equipment between buildings.
• Follow corporate and site-specific GMPs and report noncompliance when observed.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.
