Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear Inc. in Mansfield, TX is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for the 2nd shift to set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines.

You’ll read process sheets and blueprints, install fixtures, and ensure quality with precision measurements while following safety protocols. You will collaborate with team members to maintain efficiency, quality, and a safe, clean work environment.

Qualifications

• Math skills required and must read English instructions.
• Must be physically able to lift and handle heavy items.
• Must follow approved timekeeping policies and shop rules.
• Able to stand for the entire shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.
• Willingness to learn machining concepts and use measuring devices.
• Team-oriented and reliable with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directions.
• Install machine fixtures and align dies, punches, or blades.
• Set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines.
• Inspect finished parts and verify tolerances with calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness, use PPE and crane/buddy system.
• Collaborate with teammates to improve processes.
