Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our precision-focused team in a manufacturing environment. You will set up and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines according to specifications, while ensuring quality and efficiency.

Candidates should demonstrate machining knowledge, accuracy, reliability and the ability to read English instructions. This role includes a second shift with a 6% wage differential and a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read English instructions and complete simple logs in English.
• Physically able to lift, push, pull, and position heavy items.
• Must follow safety protocols and wear PPE and adhere to company policies.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and dependable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints or verbal directions.
• Install machine fixtures and ensure safe operation.
• Operate machines including lathes, mills, drills, presses and CNCs per specs.
• Inspect operations and measure finished products with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow crane/buddy system for handling large parts.
• Perform other duties as needed to support production.
