Phillips Manufacturing in Oregon is seeking a 2nd SHIFT MACHINE OPERATOR I to operate machinery, ensure quality, and maintain accurate production reporting. Onboarding requires availability for first shift hours for up to 60 days, then rotating to a 4‑day, 10‑hour schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operate a machine to maintain continuous production within safety and quality standards.
• Inspect, prepare, adjust, and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Meet product specifications by reading measurements accurately.
• Generate legible production reports and manage labeling/scanning tasks.
• Package finished cartons/bundles into proper holding carts.
• Move and position as required in a fast-paced environment.

2nd SHIFT - MACHINE OPERATOR I - UMATILLA

Hiring Bonus!

$18.75 per hour, plus $1 shift differential

4day/10hr Shifts:
4:30pm - 3:00am

This role is scheduled for 2nd shift (4:30 PM-3:00 AM, four 10-hour days). For onboarding and training purposes, candidates.MUST be able to work 1st shift hours (6:00 AM-4:30 PM, four 10-hour days) for up to 60 days. Availability for both schedules is required.

Phillips Manufacturing is the one‑stop shop for drywall finishing accessories, lath, stucco accessories, metal channels, interior framing, and fire‑rated assemblies with facilities around the country.

A Machine Operator operates a machine maintaining continuity of operation at maximum production consistent with proper safety and quality requirements.

Essential Function:

• Operation: Inspect, Prepare, Adjust, Minor Repair of Machine.
• Quality: Meet Product Specifications: Taking & Reading Measurements.
• Computer Literacy: Moderate Skills Required (Scanning, Labels, etc.).
• Reporting: Produce Legible & Accurate Production Reports.
• Packaging: Place Finished Cartons/Bundles in Proper Holding Carts.
• Agility: Fast‑Paced Environment. Walk, stand, bend, and twist for long periods of time. Repetitive Movement.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 55lbs continuously throughout shift.
