Job summary

Liberty Diversified International in Rock Island, IL is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator I to safely produce quality corrugated products. You will support machine operators, set up orders, perform quality checks, stack orders, and communicate issues in a small team, with occasional finishing tasks.

Reports to Production Supervisor at the Rock Island facility. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (or 1+ year manufacturing experience), basic math, and willingness to work overtime.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read, follow, and complete detailed work instructions.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up orders according to customer specifications and prepare the right tools.
• Assist with quality checks by inspecting articles and the order for quality.
• Monitor production metrics to track progress, quality, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues and aid troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Intermittently assist with minor repairs with maintenance.
• Keep a clean, organized work area and follow post-order cleaning.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures for the machine center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
