Job summary

Liberty Diversified International, Inc. in Rock Island, IL is hiring a full-time Machine Operator I. You will safely produce quality corrugated products, set up orders, perform quality checks, and communicate issues.

You’ll help lead the crew, mentor assistants, and assist with basic repairs in collaboration with maintenance teams. The role reports to a Production Supervisor at the Rock Island facility and requires reliable overtime availability, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED plus 3+ years in manufacturing OR 4+ years manufacturing experience in lieu of education.
• Experience reading a tape measure to within 1/16".
• Experience using a computer for typing, printing, and data entry.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and follow detailed work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine by setting up orders according to customer specs and prepare tools.
• Perform quality checks and inspect articles to ensure quality and monitor materials and equipment.
• Enter production metrics into a computer system to track progress, quality, maintenance, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders, troubleshoot with team to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Machine Operators as needed.
• Assist with minor equipment repairs in coordination with maintenance.
