Job summary

Liberty Diversified International, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator I/II at our Rock Island, IL facility to safely produce corrugated products and lead a crew when needed. You will set up orders, run equipment, perform quality checks, and communicate issues to ensure efficiencies.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing or 4+ years without a diploma, reading a tape measure, strong math and basic computer data entry. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required, plus manufacturing experience or equivalent work history.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch precision.
• Experience with basic computer skills including typing and data entry.
• Ability to perform and document math calculations in production settings.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine by setting up orders according to customer specs and readiness processes.
• Perform quality checks by inspecting first articles and subsequent items for accuracy.
• Enter production metrics into a computer system to track progress, quality, maintenance, and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leads, troubleshoot, and help maximize equipment efficiency.
• Provide guidance to Assistant Machine Operators as needed.
• Assist with minor repairs to equipment with maintenance support, and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow plant safety procedures and maintain organized work area.
