Job summary

Liberty Diversified International, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator I for our Rock Island, IL facility. You will support machine operators, help set up orders, perform quality checks, and assist with finishing tasks as needed.

You will work in a team environment under a Production Supervisor, reporting to operations leadership. The role requires attention to safety, accuracy in instruction following, and willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent or 1+ year manufacturing experience.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read, follow, and complete detailed work instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of orders according to customer specifications and prepare the right tools.
• Support inspectors during quality checks by examining articles and first articles for issues.
• Monitor production metrics and communicate any issues to leaders; help minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment and participate in problem solving with maintenance to maximize efficiency.
• Possibility to assist with minor repairs in partnership with maintenance.
• Keep work area clean and organized following post-order procedures.
• Follow plant safety processes and procedures for the machine center.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
